Use recycled plastic or paper cups to start your tomato plants in. Only put the seeds in the cup, and cover with earth. This will allow you to grow the plants in the best conditions, also it keeps a few cups out of the landfills too. When they're prepared, transplant the tomatoes into your garden.

Trees and flower beds need at least three inches of organic substances. This adds humus, nutrients, conserves water in the ground, and discourages the growth of unwanted weeds! This can also give your flower beds a nice, even, and finished appearance. There are lots of organic mulches available or you can create your own.
You must arrange your garden and plan everything. Do not buy seeds if you do not really know where you'll put them. You need to plan on the long term for certain plants, and on the very short term for short-lived plants that may need to be replaced very quickly.
If you are growing tomatoes, you need to be sure to have them in a place at the place where they can get ten hours of light at the minimum during the summer. Otherwise, your tomatoes WOn't grow properly. You also want space in between your tomato plants so that the air can circulate.
As soon as your seeds begin sprouting make sure they have enough light. Move your plants next to a bright window or place them inside a greenhouse. If you cannot do this, use fluorescent lights. Remember your plants need up to sixteen hours of light daily.
